this is the only pic I have of mine for now, but its a 1600 DP, since I had the car Only thing I did to it was a tune up
Im really thinking about droping a 1776 in it when I get a lil more settled in florida! bu for now it starts and drives so when I bought the car the speedo said it only had 35k on it but its frozen up and who knows what its really got.

Here's the one in my current 67 bug. It's a 1776, 110 cam, stock heads, 8-dowel crank, Dell'Orto 40s w/ Berg linkage, 009, swivel foot adjusters, solid rockers, dual-tip glass-pack w/ j-tubes, spin-on filter, 36hp doghouse shroud, solid breastplate, painted with black hammertone.

and finally, a before and after of the 1600 dp in my old 74 baja.
When I buy a "new" VW I always go through the top end and put new gaskets & seals, pushrod tubes, torque the heads, check everything over, etc. I can't seem to put it back together without freshening the paint a little and cleaning everything.

Im in need of a rebuild to my 1600 I have a plug that keeps foulin out, my guess is rings? so when I get to florida I might do something with it untill I can afford a 1776... never rebuilt a VW motor so Im sure Ill have alot of questions when it comes time to do so..

Get a hold of Mr. Clean (Bill) when you get to Florida ....... He will get you going in the right direction for parts and if you need it built he's the one to do it for you ........

Ahh cool thanks I was sure Id be able to get some help from Alte Schule just want to get down and meet everyone, and get aquainted with what every one did

Stock 1600 with HD springs and chromoly pushrods... oh and a homebrew T3 turbo with a Holley 450.
